Do I live in a bubble? I guess I do. So be it.Why "so be it"? Shouldn't one live in the real world? Maybe so. But I have news for you. All of us live in a bubble. Mine is a Chana-bubble. Yours is a Mushkie-bubble or a Mendy-bubble or a Sara-bubble or a Shmuly-bubble. But we all live in a bubble.
I don't see the real world. Neither do you. The "real" world is what we live in, but everyone sees it with their own eyes, from their own perspective, and spaces out about different things. We live in different areas of the world. To not live in a bubble, perhaps I should be more worried about nukes, or the American economy, or China, or Russia giving Syria anti-ship missiles. However, all those things in themselves are part of the politics-bubble. Maybe I should be concerned about making sure that we have a green planet. But that is part of the environmentalist bubble.
Macrobiotics are supposed to give you peace with your body and ensure that you live the healthiest life possible. But it also says I should be concerned about going to the bathroom in the middle of the night, and being constipated. And it also says that I should avoid dairy, and eat tofu instead. You know, dairy is there for a reason. Tofu isn't good for everyone. So I can either join the macrobiotic bubble, or decide to try to add some foods and nutrients that I may be lacking, and not go nuts.
Some people live in a school bubble, or a work bubble. That is all they concentrate on in life. Well, this is one of my bubbles for the next week or two. But it's not my whole life. Other people are in a fashion bubble, or a social bubble. And some lucky human beings just live their lives the way they ought, the way they need to, and don't get into the "what will other people think" bubble.
But in the end, we all live in a bubble. You can't be equally a part of all aspects of real life. So you pick priorities - and don't think about the rest on a regular basis. It protects you from too much stress and too many irrelevant details. And so, you live in a bubble. You live...in your bubble. That no one else can really understand, because their psyche is different, their emotions are different, and they are an entirely different person than you...and therefore they live in an entirely different bubble than you. Even if their bubble meets yours and interacts with it.
